Teacher memberships with special privileges are available to teachers who live or teach in Petawawa and would like to borrow materials for their classrooms. With a teacher membership, borrowing periods are extended and fines are waived. Please come prepared to show photo ID and proof of address when you register.
Curriculum support The Children's Librarian will create booklists and set aside books according to your needs. Please email her with your request. If you prefer to choose your own books, please limit your selection to no more than half of what is available on the shelves.
Class visits can be tailored to your needs and can include storytime and a craft, a library tour with a demonstration on how to use our online catalogue and find resources, or training on how to use our research databases. Online Databases are great research tools for all ages and academic levels. Many of our databases provide full-text versions of print publications such as magazines, professional journals, newspapers, reference books and other types of media. Contents have been carefully selected and are far more authoritative than what may be found simply by searching on the Internet.
